He is a certified management consultant for business, brands and communications, a graduate in business administration and engineering, a former DAX executive manager, and the founder and CEO of the BOC Consulting Group and Primosch & Klein Brand Consulting. For many years, he has advised leading global companies, institutions, and destinations—such as Carinthia—on matters of branding, communications, and leadership.
His portfolio includes major national and international brands such as Siemens, Henkel, Novartis, Ford, ALDI SÜD, BYD, and Meta (Facebook), as well as prominent place and destination brands—from Düsseldorf, Villach, and Carinthia to Australia, Antalya, South Africa, and Singapore. His professional reach has long extended across Europe, Asia, and the United States.
As Global Corporate Vice President at the DAX-listed company Henkel, he was responsible worldwide for corporate brand management, corporate communications, and sustainability and CSR agendas. He later held senior leadership roles at international consultancies such as H&K Strategies and Edelman before founding his own consultancy in 2019.
Under his leadership, teams and projects have been honored with numerous awards, including the German Brand Award and the Image Award on both national and international levels. Bernhard Klein, MSc. MBA
He has worked in the field of branding for over twenty years and is regarded as an international authority on brand development, brand positioning, and international marketing.
For many years, he held senior management positions in international corporations—including as Head of Marketing for Fischer Sports, the medical group Lohmann & Rauscher, and the publicly listed real estate company Immofinanz AG—where he developed retail and real estate brands across Eastern and Southeastern Europe.
Earlier in his career, Bernhard Klein led the international marketing of the City of Vienna in more than 23 countries, earning numerous awards and distinctions such as the Audio Branding Award in New York, two Bronze Lions at the Cannes Lions Festival, and the Prize of Excellence from the East Japan Railway Company.
For more than a decade, Klein has held multiple consulting mandates throughout the DACH region. He serves as a jury member of the City Nation Place Award in London, lectures at universities and international conferences, and is a publicly appointed and court-certified expert in marketing and media.
In 2022, he was named one of the Ten Most Influential CMOs of the Year by the European Real Estate Brand Institute.
Klein studied marketing in Vienna and earned his Executive MBA in General Management from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
